Finally in the 5s in the 1/8..
Decent weather tonight, around 1000' DA, so I thought I would try it again. First pass the car ran 6.11 @ 109 breaking up through 2nd and 3rd. Needless to say I wasnt real happy, checked the logs and everything looked OK, went back around, car hooked well but started breaking up bad in high gear and ran a 5.99 @ only 112. Log looked good again so I pulled a plug and it looked a little nasty, only thing I had with me was a used set of 3922 autolites the car wouldnt run on a couple months ago but they were newer then these so I swapped them in quick. Letting the car idle in the garage for a couple hours
getting the idle tune right with leaded gas finally killed the original plugs I ran all year I guess..
Next pass the car didnt hook well and ran a 6.00 @ 114.8 so at least the mph was back. Next pass was a 5.95 @ 115, drove right around and ran a 5.93 @ 115.5, then drove around again and ran a 5.97 (popped the rev limiter pretty good) @ 115. All three passes within like 5 minutes lol.
I did tighten up the front shocks and take another inch or so of travel out of the front end to keep it down. Most passes today were off the footbrake, the 5.97 was off the trans brake/ Probably would have been a 5.94-95 if I didnt hit the limiter, the BS3 limiter hits pretty hard. All 60 foots were in the 1.28-1.29x except the 6.00 pass which was a 1.31. Thats still with the 3.7 pulley and the crappy ATI inlet hat on the car
Few passes, missed the best pass, my wife didnt expect me to make three in a row

Still working on the tune a little but the WOT closed loop works very well on this BS3 so its easy to get it dialed in after a few passes..

You've worked for it all year, CONGRATS!
Nothing feels better than knocking off a goal that's hard to hit.
You have to buy an enclosed trailer now and plaster "5 Second Streetcar" on the side. When I lived in Knoxville, I saw a guy with one like that all over town.

Thanks guys, since I most likely wont make it in the 8s in the 1/4 with this combo, 5s in the 1/8 makes me happy for a week or so.
LASTLSI,
I'm pretty sure it was either the cam or crank sensor caussing the problem. Put both in new and the sync errors went away. The box I was using is going 7000 no problem in another car so who knows..
Actually its .09 better 6.02/5.93, thats like 1.5 tenths in the 1/4 so I may get in the 9.2x range if I hit a good hooking track in some good weather. I'll try to do the SCF thing if its still running
Hooker weighs about the same as stock, I dont run that anymore though. I'm running a 3" Y-pipe off the headers into a 3 to 4 inch flowmaster merge to a 4" splitflow muffler. I had a 4" bullet on there before and I thing that bullet made the car louder, the splitflow has a nice mellow sound.

congratulations kevin !!! i'm really glad your car is coming around .it still amazes me the technology on these new engines compared to the sbc motors and how much power can be rung out of them. i'm positive your car has a 5.8x in it .now let's experiment=3.4 pulley with a nitrous spray bar and i see a 5.7x pass = well i guess that is getting kinda complicated but it would be a step towards the 8.xx range.
keep it real "lucifer" (sp)?
