Default Firehawk VS WS6 Trans Am

Hello all. This is my very first post on these forums and I am happy to be here!

Anyway... lol.

I am trying to decide to buy either a Firehawk or a WS6 Trans Am but I wanted to come on here and ask everyone what the difference is between the Firehawk engine and Trans Am engine and what is it that makes the Firehawk engine more powerful/faster than the Trans Am engine??

Like for example... is the Firehawk's LS1 supercharged or something or did SLP add some other kind of mods to it that the regular WS6 engine doesn't have?? If so, what kind of mods does it have?

And on top of that, besides just the engine, what else (in terms of mods from SLP) does the Firehawk have that just the normal WS6 Trans Am does not have???

Basically what makes the Firehawk better/more powerful/faster than the WS6 Trans Am is what I am trying to say.

Let's say that we are comparing a 2002 Firehawk and 2002 WS6 Trans Am just to make things more simple for this thread.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Both are making the same amount of power although the FireHawk is rated higher. Youll here this often here, and LS1 is an LS1 is an LS1, all are making roughly 350hp/375ft.lbs give or take. GM underrates these cars so they dont take sales away from vettes. If im not mistaken machanically the only difference between a hawk and a WS6 is shocks and maybe swaybars(hood and wheels too).
Just go for which ever you think looks better.

The real differance is the Firehawk is a limited edition, special run car. The WS6 TA is basically a regular Trans Am, with some SLP add-ons. If you want a collector car, then the Firehawk is better. If you want a daily driver or something to modify/change, the TA is better, although it's only orginal once, and it's the last Trans Am made. Depends on your wallet and what you plan to do with either.

The WS6 doesn't have anything with SLP on it. The Firehawk got the SLP exhaust and the 02's got the the lid as well.

If you're modding and don't care about "exclusivity", pass on the Firehawk. If you don't care about the ram air hype or the looks so much, just find a Formula.

I have an 00 Hawk Vert and my friend has a 99 ws6 TA and most of it is appearence, he likes the standout of the WS^ hood, i like the better flowing lines of the hawk, etc. Go with what you like.

It all goes down to looks. They both are the best looking 'birds IMO. I personally like the WS6 look better because of the WS6 hood, but alot of people prefer the Firehawk hood.
