I'm swapping out my borked up (from an accident) 10 bolt for a low mileage one from another car. My messed up one has 3.23's and this donor one has 2.73's...ugh. I just want to get my car back up and running so I guess I'll just get used to it.
Anyway, my question is this. Is there a safe way to use my engine hoist to hoist the rear end of the car up? I was thinking of having the rear end assembly resting on jackstands, unbolt everything, hoist the rear up and leaving the complete rear end sitting on the jackstands. Or should I just use the method described here http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=514327&highlight=install+12+bolt
