Push Rod Bent :(
Hello Guys,
Well I drove my car all day long stopped by my parents house and when I left I went straight to the gas station, filled up started the car and boom this loud knocking/ticking sound.
Took it apart and found 2 bent rods 1 really bent most likely making the noise and the other on its way.
1. How common is this? I did nothing wrong, I have heard a hard 3rd - 4th miss and shift into 2nd can cause this, but nothing of that sort happened.
2. I've been looking at push rods and I have found a discrepency in what people are listing some are saying stock length is 7.375 and some are saying 7.400. Is this the same thing?
3. I saw something about Crane gold rocker arms that look to be a bonus over stock and while I'm in there is it worth it?
4. The common what sponsor should I get some new onese from?
The car is a 98 Formula with Ls6 intake and Suncoast air box, no cats. Not much done to it really, got some long tubes to put on but looks like they will get put off a little longer now.
I appreciate any feedback you guys have.

3. harland sharp worth prob be more worth it since you are stock enough and dont wanna drop big dough on roller rockers. search around for them.

I bent three of my stock pushrods. Engine builder told me it looked like I had floated the valves. I also found two stuck lifters and two of my crank bearings had spun up on top of eachother and it chewed the hell out of my crank. Some sort of bad oiling problem. Either way it all ended up equaling a new stroker motor and I've never been happier!
