Default New best and then BOOM ***videos and pics***

Here are the vids:
http://files.filefront.com/blown+up+.../fileinfo.html

http://files.filefront.com/8secpass+.../fileinfo.html

8.781 at 161.00 on the limiter through the traps. 1.358 60 ft. 3393 lbs.

Pics of the carnage (more to come when it's pulled apart today):

New tune was spot on...but the stock oiling just wasn't up the task it would appear.

At least you didn't drive through the oil and lose it, could have been much worse.

So now what, dry sump?

Congrats on the 8's, but to bad it came at the expense of your engine. Re-build time? Dry sump next time? Sounds like you were really flying.

I did go through my oil and almost hit the wall about 10 times...it was bad every time I touched the brakes the car would try to spin. It could have been much worse though but I did my best to stop and not hit anything.

Oh yeh get this...my best before was 9.0 at 155 and that was on almost 26 lbs...new tune-up from Don Bailey and I picked up HUGE at only 21 lbs of boost. Compared to my previous 21 lb numbers, I picked up almost 7 mph to the 1/8th (1/4 was only 6 because I was on the limiter but it would have went 163 I am guessing).

What was different about this tune that allowed you to pick up so much? How much timing?

Not much more timing but it was put in the right spots...the a/f was perfect on his first try...the driveability was a dream too...Bailey is the man I'll never go elsewhere for tuning needs.

Just a 347 with a bunch of used stock parts (heads, crank, block) and some used good parts (eagle rods) and add a little oil starvation and boom there goes a rod out the bottom of the oil pan. It was turning 8200 on the limiter on the previous pass so maybe the high rpm was part of the problem as well?

Spun to 8200 eh... Nice.

When I saw your boom video it looked pretty scary. Where you the car in right lane in Taner's vid that got super loose at the end of the track?

How did you hook up with Don, I thought he lived in the South 'burbs of Chicago.

The last comment on the "boom" video says it all. Bigger and better - 8200 limiter - good grief that spinning it.
