Default spec5 install ???'s

im going to be doing the install on friday, my only worries are with the slave replacement and shimming.

What's everyone elses experiences with installing the shim, is it always needed? also where exactly does it go? this is my first clutch replacement

Then on the slave replacement, I got the gm unit, is it neccessary to bleed that once its all hooked up or is it pre-bled? Hydraulics have been a big problem for me so i want to get them right.

Just looking for any input and others experience, thanks in advance.

I believe that there is an install document floating around somewhere. I think that it may be on Installuniversity.com. Do you have an adjustable master cylinder? The GM slave comes pre-bled. I know that the RAM master does not come bled. The Mcleod might come bled as well.
