Default Turning MAF to match TB

Do you guys think it would be beneficial to turn the maf so the airfoil runs perpendicular with the throttle blade? It would seem to me that the air would flow better this way. Any thoughts?

Default

Remember that the air coming through the "lid" is very likely favoring the top of the "tube" its running through. It comes up and into the lid and will tend to stay at the top of the hose, this will favor the top of the maf and turning it sideways might (might, I'd have to test it to see) split that path of air and cost you flow, but that's all just speculation. I'd leave it, or dyno it both ways and see if you can prove a change (watch your mixture, I'd use a wideband on it at the same time as doing those tests).

My thoughts.
