Default Need Horsepower!

Ok, I want to get 400 hp at the wheels by spring, Its a DD car, I think I found a cam TSP228R, Intake- LS6, Heads ?, Gears 4:30, My car is a stock 6 speed car
Will LS6 heads get me there, Or do I need more and would it be advised to get bigger injectors and throttle body. I really want to hit the low 12s high 11s
any suggestions appreciated, Thank You

First ditch the 4.30 gears, they are way too short. 4.10's will do just fine. Get some better heads, Darts come to mind. You might get to 400 RWHP with that set up but you will certainly get their with some Dart heads and a 224/228 LSA 114 cam. Get rid of your Flow Master muffler and get a MagnaFlow instead. Flows just don't make any hp.
To get to your et goals you will need a little suspension help as well. plan on LCA's, Adj. panhard rod, adj torque arm and SFC. Drop me a PM and I'll give you a full list of everything you will need.

Good luck!

I think the 228R will get you there. Just make sure you get a good tune. We have the same goals i plan on getting the 228R in the spring/summer.

If you don't already have a Moser 9" rear end I would take $2500 of that and buy one. Then just go cam only to achieve the 400RWHP mark. Because 4:10 or 4:30 gears in a 10-bolt is about as worthless as a 1000RWHP car on street tires.
