Default clutch problems?

I've recently had a problem with starting my car after its been sitting for a full day, the problem seems to be with my clutch in that when I'm trying to start it putting the clutch all the way to the floor lights come on but it acts like I'm not putting in the clutch (lights on, no motor movement) but after I pump it a couple of times itll start. Now the first thing I thought was my fluid level, checked it and its fine, anyone got ideas?

Does the starter motor try to move the car, or does it "do nothing"? If it's doing nothing at all (other than the dash lights), it might be a bad clutch switch on the pedal assembly. Look above the clutch pedal, you'll see a button that is depressed by the clutch. That tells the car you have the clutch pressed in. If the switch is bad, it won't start. Just something else to check.

If it does nothing when you turn the key, and you give it a few pumps and it starts, I'm guessing you have a bad clutch switch (the one that is mounted above the pedal). You'll see it up there (once you pull the plastic trim panel down). See if you can test it with a volt meter or try a replacement one.
