Wow...tonight was the first time my car ever OWNED another car. I mean spanked it without breaking a sweat, and plenty left over.

I was getting onto a local highway near Exton, PA. This guy in an 05 style Mustang GT kept getting on my ass in town. Sort of coming up on me fast and aggressive at each light. I could tell it was a newer from the lights.

Now I cant be sure...but I think he basically fell into the trap that I built the car to set. 87 TA...decent shape...loud exhaust. Must be an older 350... Etc etc...

I was going around the entrance ramp, and I had it in third...cruising around the ramp at about 45.. I looked, saw no traffic, went straight over to the left lane and held speed. The Mustang got over quickly too, sat next to me for about 2 seconds, then nailed it. He got about a car length ahead then I nailed it. I reeled him in so fast, and had about 2 lengths on him by the time I shifted into 4th...still pulling even after my slow ass shift (still learning :) )

I got far enough ahead and there was no reason to go any faster...so I got into the right lane and chilled out. He pulled up next to me, flipped on his interior lights, shook his head as if he was in dis-belief, gave me a friendly thumbs up, and off he went.

Talk about fun!!! Holy crap. Racing another car is so much better when your car can actually hold its own and lay some smack down!!!!!

I dont knwo what he had done to his car...but it was loud. It sounded really good. And he had the hood that is raised in the middle... Not really a cowl...but it was higher towards the center. I know nothing about stangs......

Thanks for reading along if you got this far!!! In case you are wondering...my combo is...

Thanks guys! Yeah I was curious as to how much of a sleeper a black Trans AM with loud exhaust would be... But I think people are in the mind set that most of the 3rd gen cars are sheep in wolf's clothing. Works fine for me! I like seeing peoples expressions when I blow by them!

Thanks for posting that link!! There is a better link with more finished pics...

Thanks again guys!!

To answer the question...The motor came from a 33,xxx mile car. But its not the original...and I think it has about 10,xxx miles on it. So its ready to be beat on... :) Previous owner had it to the track on a few occasions. Its started great every day, drives fine, doesnt even come close to overheating or doing anything strange...knock on wood. So im a happy camper!

The 3rd gen birds are by far my favorite car since I was a little kid.... My dad bought an 82 Iron Duke with t-tops. Silver with red interior. I can remember sitting on the t-bar roof watching the trains go by at the local historic railroad. That plus knight rider pretty much had me hooked on the car. Found this one for a steal...305 was fast at first...now its nothing to mess with :)

In the near future, Ide like to re-do the interior. Freshen things up, fix a few little rust spots, etc. And Ide like to get it re-painted and have the body worked over. Black again of course... Maybe with some accents ghosted in here and there. The car is goin to the grave with me..and since Im only 26 (oct 13th) I have plenty of time to play with it! Thanks again for the feedback!
