Default Main cap/main stud torque sequence?

Does anybody know where I cand find the torque sequence order for the main studs? I already know the torque specs I just need to know in what order they need to be torqued down. I checked ls1howto and couldnt find anything. Any info would be greatly appreciated also if I could find a picture diagram. Thanks in advance

Crankshaft Bearing Cap Torque Sequence:

Looking at the block from the bottom, standing on the passenger side of the block (crank snout will be on your left), the studs will be the two outer rows of fasteners in the caps, while the bolts will be the two inner rows of fasteners in the caps. The side bolts go last.

The cap bolts are numbered 1-10, the cap studs are numbered 11-20, and the side bolts are numbered 21-30.

29 25 21 23 27

19 15 11 13 17
09 05 01 03 07

10 06 02 04 08
20 16 12 14 18

30 26 22 24 28

Number 3 main is also your thrust bearing, and that's where you start. Torque bolts 1-10 1st, then 11-20. The side bolts are torqued as pairs, starting with 21 & 22. You don't mention whether or not you're using OEM replacement TTY fasteners, or aftermarket fasteners. The sequence remains the same, but the TTY fasteners use a goofy method for torquing:

1. Torque fasteners 1-20 to 22 ft-lbs, then loosen them. Push the crank forward to full thrust.

2. Re-torque fasteners 1-10 to 15 ft-lbs, then add 80* torque angle.

3. Torque fasteners 11-20 to 15 ft-lbs, and loosen them to hand-tight. Re-torque 11-20 to 15 ft-lbs, and add 53* of torque angle.

4. Side bolts 21-30 get torqued to 18 ft-lbs.

If you use aftermarket fasteners, follow their recommended torque specs. Hope this helps....
