Default What to adress first. please help!

ok guys i have a 98 camaro with over 130K on it. the shocks are shot, the bushings are breaking appart on the sway bars, and the rear end is starting to clunk around parking lots... so im guessing the posi is starting to go out. which of these poses the biggest safety issue if any? also with that many miles, do i need to consider a new timing chain / oil pump (cuz it is a 98), or can i let that be for a while? please help, i have a limmited budget for this car and i need to know what i need to tackle first.

well, if the actual rear differential is making noise, that would be your number one priority IMO.

Clunking may be comming from your suspention. Have someone look at it who knows about these cars. Check your local forums & sponsors.

If it's really your rear, do that first. It could also be your rear suspension, like someone said. Either way, you're looking at a full grand to fix either the susp. or rear, if you have someone else do the work.

Could be cheap if it's just the TQ arm bolts or something.
