Default Can I epoxy my cam lobes for more lift?

I just picked up some epoxy and I'm about to get started on it. It'll take some pretty accurate measuring but I'd like to add some more lift to my cam. I'll let you all know how it goes.

wow, i know you are kidding because you always seem to make intelligent posts.....

....then again, the epoxy may hold up better than the heat treat on some cams

That's what she said...

And also, I can do this for anyone who needs it. Don't be bashful. I'm sure the first time someone said "hey, let's paint the tail panel of our cars a different color... let's say... black? oh and also, let's make it ridiculously dull with a matte finish... it'll look killer!" not everyone believed it. But just as the Berger mod has caught on, so shall my cutting edge work. I hear a lot of jealousy in this thread in the form of "I hope you're kidding", "No it won't work", etc etc but that will not bring me down. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some sponsor paperwork to fill out.

All jokes aside, a girl I know has a intake/headers/cam/juice V6 mustang (01 I think) and she dynoed 175whp before the cam and 205whp after the cam. I saw both graphs. DAMN!

As far as your cam question, GM used a special alloy in their cams for the LS1 motors. Adding epoxy to the cam, while changing its profile, would also most certainly change the molecular structure of the alloy at engine operating termperature. My friend did just this and when we pulled the cam back out it had turned to swiss cheese. Another of my friends is a big model Estes rocket freak. He sends hundreds of rockets up a year, on them are...you guessed it, epoxy-transformed swiss cheese cam-shafts from LS1's. The movie Highlander is actually my friend's and I life story, we are immortal. We have been sending cheesed cam-shafts into space for years. The Van Allen belts magnetically charged them as they passed through them, causing them to be attracted towards each other in the null-gravity of space. That is how the moon was formed. It is also why NASA cant find pictures of the first lunar landing site. My friends and I have already buried it with cheesated LS1 cams (GM isnt the ONLY posessor of this alloy...used to in the good old days of Egypt and Syria, we use cheriot axles). So, by all means, go ahead and epoxy it, but send me the resulting cheese stick so it can be sent to its other brethren.
