ls1 boltons vs. ls2
hey guys i was just wondoring is it possible if i got a bigger cam to keep up with an ls2 or do i need both head/cam swap. a few weeks ago i got smoke badly by an 05 gto. i wasn't sure if it was complete stock but it sure didnt sound like it was. what can i do to keep up with them without using any force induction?

There is alot you can do..... usually a few minor bolt-ons will handle a stock LS2 due to the wieght difference of the goats. I actually have no problem handling them with my cat-back and lid, but I am also a 6-speed. They usually get the launch on me and I quickly real them in.

There's absolutely no reason a stock LS2 GTO would "smoke you bad", considering the mods you currently have.
The car you raced was certainly modified, and if it pulled as you claim, probably spraying, or cammed itself. A bolt on LS2 GTO would be close with the mods you have.

i have stock gears as for right now. although i did take the launch first until a few seconds when he caught up and he than took off on me. im sure it was modified... i guess i need to get a cam as for getting more hp and tq to the wheels.

some gears would really help you out. Those 2/73's are going to be great if your doing about an 80-roll or so, if you catch my drift.... look into 3.73's, if you dont want that atleast get some 3.42's
