ok idid this to you need the coil off a 01and a small harness i got from gm it plugs into thecoil and run a wire from the coil to the back of the radio its pin 14 in the white con its just one wire and the wheel puts out diff volts for each button and thats it. also you need a pin from gm to put in the back of the radio.

You have to replace the airbag clockspring assembly. It is the same from 95-02. The car I think is already prewired the connector is tucked back to the best of my knowledge. If not all there is is 12v ign grd illumination, signal to radio head.

I hate to resurrect an old thread, but, From what I gather, all that is needed for this conversion is the clockspring assembly and then, one wire needs to be run to the radio, while the other goes to the ill. circuit to light em up. What coil is mentioned above? Any thing else needed for this conversion. I have a 99 and I can't find any "tucked away" wires, thanks for looking.
