just hook it to the original vent line that leads to the gas tank on the S10. It is way better to have it as original or else you will start smellin the gas fumes constantly in a closed area....not cool in my opinion.

the only reason i am wanting to do away with it is cause i cant find a way to hook it up i dont have the fitting that snaps on it or i would just hook it up the the line to the tank

You don't need that snap fitting. You can just use a hose clamp and some rubber hose if needed. That system is under no pressure at all. Actually I've seen some cars that just use a slip over type fitting. I wouldn't sweat it all. Like I said that system is under no pressure at all (actually when the solenoid is open it's actually in a vacuum)

Yeah i just used the hose that the S10 already has and slid it over the end...hasnt come off yet and works great as can be. If you are worried you could hose clamp it...but i really see no need...as said it is under no positive pressure...if anything under more vacuum.
