Default 98 LS1 crank, rods and pistons in a 02 LS1/6 block?

anything to watch out for? i have a bad block and need to replace it (nothing internal is wrong w/ it). if i get a 02 LS1/6 never run block from valvegod ($600 + shipping) can i just swap over all internal parts and all the sensors and be O.K.?

The piston to bore clearances are different between the LS1 and LS6 engines, but I don't know whether the bores are different, the pistons for the LS6 are different. Also the main bearing bores were re-toleranced for the LS6, so you'll need to check whether the clearances are OK there.
