Default Window Motor

Not sure where else to post this but anyway I replaced my window motor this morning as so many people have to do, and found it was held in place but bolts rather than rivets as most people seem to say. It was never replaced before so it must have come from the factory like that. Just a little FYI.

Well, can you explain why mine had bolts and nuts and NO and I mean NO access holes drilled whatsoever? Guess GM ran out of rivets that day

I searched the forum, but I can't find any procedures/pics for replacing the window motor... I'm going to follow the GM service manual, but a few pics would help; anyone point me in the right direction, please...?

Edit: I suppose this is "external engine"...

Yes, I am the original owner and don't ever remember replacing the window motor before. Of course I do walk in my sleep but I don't think I work in my sleep!! Only place I saw rivets was on the regulator but not on the motor itself.

Any chance they did it under warranty? Had to get in there for some other reason and had to remove the motor for service?
