Default Anyone install an LS6 cam at -6 deg?

Right now I have a stock 2001 tahoe 5.3L in my El Camino. It pulls strong in 1st gear but it just does not have the power in the upper RPM range. I want to do a cam swap and was looking at getting a 2001 LS6 cam. I have been checking it out on desktop dyno and the smaller 01 cam looks like it has a better power curve than the larger 2002 LS6 cam. But if I install the 2001 LS6 cam at -6 degrees it gives me even more power and flattens out the curve. Has anyone done this? Are there budget timing chains available that have the proper keyways to adv/ret the cam in an LSx? I attached a couple of the simulated dyno charts.
