I am in the process of putting a LS1 engine into a 2001 Camaro roller chassis that I purchased. I have two Fuel line hookups on the drivers side fender. I assume the larger one is the fuel supply from the pump. I am assuming the other line is emmissions related and not a return line into the tank, as the fuel rail is a returnless fuel rail. Can I just cap off the second line as I am in the process of eleminating the airpump and other emmissions related itrms? or am I mistaken and this is a fuel return line?

your right,its the purge line from the canister.It would normaly attach to the purge valve on the the intake.

Will I create any problems capping it off?

nope but yer gonna need to tune all the emessions out of the pcm.That line runs from the canister to the purge valve,then at part throttle as you are driving the pcm opens the purge valve to let the canister gases flow into the front of the intake manifold to burn off.The pcm does a test on the system on every start to check the seal on the fuel tank-canister system.If a line is off or the gas cap off it throws up a code.

Thanks for that insight that tells me I should leave the purge valve in place then.
