Nasty Rattle at 1500rpms? (video)
This just started tonite when I was head home. I could hear this metallic rattling bouncing off the houses. It is pretty loud at a low speed. I don't seem to have any performance loss and everything under the car seems to be tight. No loose exhaust shields. At 1500rpms the car runs a bit rougher than usual. Please help diagnose this!

Yeah, they are optomizing it right now.
I can say that I also have the same thing. I will have to wait for the video first to say if mine sounds the same, but I have a pretty nasty rattle from my exhaust somewhere near the headers at about the same place. Mine used to be only at about 1500 RPMs, but now it has developed to a range from idle (sometimes) to about 2200 or so. For a lack of better words, it really sounds like a bolt is inside my pipes somewhere rattling around. What does yours sound like? And where is it situated?

I believe your passenger catalytic converter has gone to ****. That's exactly what mine sounded like when it went bad, at relatively the same RPMS. It could be something else, but it's more than likely the cat.

Yeah, mine sounds like that, but more of a high-pitched "PING"ing kind of sound. I think it's your cats. No idea what it is on my car though. Anyone have any thoughts of what it could be?
