What muffler are you running?
What are yall using and how do you like it. I had a Hooker CB with my turbo setup and felt it was too restrictive. I dropped the muffler and I gained a ton by the SOTP feel. Itll light them up through 3rd and I gained about 2lbs of boost, but now it sounds worse than ***. I mean it sounds worse than my LM ever did. Its worse than those redenck trucks with straight pipes Its embarassing I cant use a traditional muff because of my modified gas tank.
What takes care of this rasp? I was looking at the Classic Chambered muffs https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-external-engine/583963-exclusive-classic-chambered-powerpacks-not-powersticks-pics-videos-dyno-inside.html but heard not to run a chambered muffler..

Try running a Sweet Thunder inline, or how about two single chamber Flowmasters run inline? All you really need is some sort of can or pipe to act like a musical instrument (kinda)... better than now.
I'm still running my SLP DD and it's so freakin' quiet, I'm about to cut it off too.

im running a dynomax bullet right before exhaust tips and it took out the rasp and made it deep and doesnt seem to have cost any power or boost loss. its a straight through bullet no twists.

I had just an SLP LM from the Y pipe back and loved the sound (although it was sometimes annoying on long highway runs). I just put American Racing headers on with cats and Y and now I hate the raspy sound, it sounds like a NASCAR now when before it had a nice tight tone. It's almost unbearable on the highway now. I'm curious to see what you go with. I'm looking into the Magnaflow.
