Brake light won't shut off
Ok, normally when I get in my car, start it up, and take off the E-brake the brake light turns off. When I got in my car a couple of days ago, the brake light stayed on when I put the E-brake down. Anybody know what the deal is?
F.Y.I. - This started happening after I had a blow-out, popped a small curb, and broke a spindle. Also, when the accident occured one of the rims bent and another cracked.

I feel your pain. I have ABS INOP and TCS OFF. BRAKE comes on after 1st time of hitting brakes. I have checked EVERY wire in the entire ABS/TCS system including the TPS sensor, ABS module, TPS module, PCM, ect. Everything is hooked up right and I even replaced the ABS moldule with a used one. One year later, I am still working on these systems even though I hate them. Now even more.
I am to the point of actually know what each wire is if I look at the connector and color.
TPS Module... the pink is a ignition wired switch, oranges are battery wired, the gray wire in the splice pack connector goes to the IP cluster light blue goes to the ABS module... all from memory yet the solution is far from my grasp. DAMN you Bosch and AC Delco. Damn you.
I could probably buy a CoolRunner Automotive FPGA and program it to replace the factory equipment before I could ever get that **** to work...

I know the brake light can come on because it will sense unequal rpessure in the brakes and needing new brakes but dont know what else will trigger it. my abs inop lgiht is on cuz mine arent bled yet and i ahd the ABS block and everything off so im sure that threw the code. but strange thing is my tCS wont turn on or off. the cars in park but im not sure if its supposed to be on or off in park or not. the light doesnt even come on

I say hook up an oscope to a working car and reserve engineer this ****. The wheel sensors are easy math. Could even put in an extra variable for diff sized tires on the back. It can't be too hard to modulate the brakes based on wheel sensor speed and communicate serially.
I talked to a guy that worked for Bosch one time. Surely, they have documentation somewhere if you inquire as an OEM.

I would check the brake fluid. Alot of vehicles when the fluid is low will trigger the brake light to come on. This is usually an indicator you will be needing new brakes soon and they are wearing down. Worth a shot.
