Lightbulb Painting the radiator support cover

I'm going in to get some bodywork done, and I was thinking that while they had my car, I would get the radiator support cover (under the lid) painted navy blue metallic to match the rest of my car. Prepped, painted and cleared with the same external paint. What are your opinions on this, and does anyone have it done?

I've been thinking of ways to make mine look a little better, but i'm afraid i'd just scratch it up with all the playing I do.

You could always throw a blanket over it after the lid is off. I think it would look great, and I would definitely clear-coat it, so that should limit a lot of the scratching.

I painted mine to match the FRC's, and front support. I like how it turned out.

Nice, do you have anymore pictures? Is it clearcoated? How easy does it blemish and scratch?

Just a different angle:

I have others just not on the computer I'm at now. It is clearcoated, and it doesn't blemish or scratch very easy. I keep the pieces pretty clean.

damn dude- it's so deep that it's hard to see. I need some sort of contrast. Looks like you did an amazing job on it.

I remember seeing you doing an LS1 swap but when did you complete it? Am I just completely out of the loop of things and has it been done for a while now? Or was that just an old post I remember seeing about your swap

I like the black one posted, but for any other color I think it would be too much. I would def. paint the blackish/gray piece in front of that though!

I painted mine in body colour NBM with spray bombs. I like how it looks and it doesnt scratch as long as I keep it clean.

Lol. Its an old pic. I've since removed the 350 and replaced it with a GM Performance division emblem. I've also added some Specialized Stainless covers. I also ditched that trashy looking stainless braided sleeve that is on the rad hose.
