Default Removing the fuel lines

Whats the proper way of removing the fuel lines on a 98 camaro ? I already removed one of them with the same tool that I use to remove ac lines but the other one is odd looking. It has a black protecting ring around it. I guess it is the return line... What's the right way to remove that one ?

If you are talking about the line that goes to the evap solenoid, you just squeeze the ring and pull the line off.

Yeah, you just squeeze the ring, and pull the line right off.
