a Z06 cam in there LS1? would there be any gains expected? would there be any noticeable difference in the exhaust note(idle)? If not, would it be a good sleeper cam in a Cam-only street car...once i get the car it will most likely receive LTs, catted y, tsp rumbler, slp flopac, LS6 intake, and mild valvetrain upgrade to handle the cam, as well as a trans cooler, and 3200 stall...what do you guys think?

you should see more power, but you could see more from a cam like a tsp torquer v.2 to keep the rpm down or keep the lsa around 114, the higher the smoother the idle.

With a 3200 stall you should be able to run a medium sized cam with no driveability issues.

is there a difference performancewise between, 112,113,and 114 LSAs besides the idle sound? I was just thinkin about the z06 cam because I found one for like $85 bucks on ebay with only 13000 miles...

Yes, there's a difference. Try reading. There's no way that someone should explain the LSA since it's been discussed so many times.

And for the post about the torquer cam being good. That's just one example out of hundreds. Don't let advertising alone make your decision. Go watch some cars that actually have some mods done in person. Not that the Torquer is bad. Lots of guys on here seem to love that cam. They've gotta be good.

No, there won't be a difference in exhaust note. No, it's not a sleeper cam. You'll have essentially the LS6 motor with a better flowing exhaust but worse flowing heads. Don't expect it to be faster than an LS6, which is still a stout motor though, but that's what you're looking at.

LSA does a lot more than influence sound. It also influences valve events which will have a lot to do with where the power peaks and carries, as well as where the area under the curve is.
