Default looking to spend some money

need help deciding what internal parts to buy on the new engine. so far, here is what it will consist of:
sleeved LS1 block 4.03" bore with arp head studs
stock stroke
241 heads milled .050". 2.05/1.6 vavles. hand ported, but arent finished so i dont know the numbers.
ported fast 90mm intake
NW 90mm tb

Questions:
whose pistons should i choose. i prefer forged although the engine will always be naturally aspirated?
is the stock crankshaft strong enough?
whose rods? i want lite weight, i'm leaning towards lunati pro mod, just because of the weight though.
cam? open to all suggestions, and i'm not against running a solid roller as long it will work with my application.
lifters, rings, and bearings?
header size?

car and goals:
99 camaro. will weigh 3200 with me in it. 98% of its miles will be on the street. about 100 a week or so. rock on 4l60e with a vigilante 3800 stall, (flashed 4100 in old 347 combo). 12 bolt (gears will depend on what the engine wants, 275 60 MT et radials). i dont mind mixing a little race gas, but i dont want to be limited to race gas only. (11.5-12.0:1 or so depending on cam). i would like to take the car to the track (1/8th mile only) and be able to run some 6.7's-6.8's. is this reasonable. any helpful words of wisdom is very much appreciated.

Wiseco K398A3 4.030'' Flat Tops . site says avg wt 421 . These use a standard ring size.
Believe Harlan ran in the 8's 1/4 using the stock crank
Lunati Rods sounds good

i remember reading one of patrick g posts about a custom ground cam 239/243 @ .050. .649/.653. 108 LSA +1 on LSK lobes. how would this cam perform with XER lobes. which would be better in the 370ci i am going to build

I suggets you get the phone book out and start calling around hit up the sponsors and their techs, techs are your friend...... I spent the whole day calling specialty shops, the one thing i realized what ever you spend on parts plan spending twice as much to get the job done. But if you want to know eagle has a great rotating assyembly... http://www.adperformance.com/index.p...roducts_id=743

Good Luck gets worse when picking the right cam....

thanks for the info. calling the sponsors will be the final thing i do before i buy the parts. i would just like to have my list narrowed down before i call them, based on the information i get from people with their own experiences. as for the cam......damn there's a lot of options.

i would like to ask why spend the money for a sleeved LS1 block to achieve 4.030" bore when you can get them sleeved to 4.125 for the same cost. if all you want is 4.030" i would go with an iron 6.0L block, especially since you want to run stock crank. keep it basic and you'll be fine. 370ci motors have made some great power. thats what i'm building actually, looking for over 500 to the tires with a powerglide na.

the sleeves will actually go 4.165, but since i dont have the money to put on a bad *** set of heads, right now i figured i would just go with a 370. one day though it will be bigger. i'm close to wichita falls. also i may have met you at kennedale a couple of weekends ago. im gearheads78 little bro. i remember listening to someone talk about a firebird they were building with a glide, but it could be somebody different. i'm not good with names
