Well not too long ago I was having some fuel pump whine. So I changed the filter, and it was all gravy. This was maybe 2 months ago. Now recently I noticed that my fuel pump makes a strange noise when turning the key to the ignition. You know how when you turn the ignition on but don't start the car? you can hear the pump make a short whine noise? Well now it sounds very unusual, never like it used to. Don't know how to explain this noise it makes, but it the whine isn't a straight sound. It kind of picks up and down in tone. I use only Exxon supreme gas, and i added some BG44K and that didn't help. The fuel pump doesn't make much noise when the car is started, just when I turn the ignition to the on position.

Any ideas?
