What brand intercooler is that..Do you have close up mounting pics of it on the Trans Ams/Formula cars?

Are the pipes welded? Or trim to fit?

The intercooler is indded an XS Autochrome. We looked at all of these Chinese made intercoolers, and they all appear to be made by the same company. They look to be made well, and we've had very good results with them.

The pipes are all welded, and bead rolled. There is no trimming to be done. Thanks for inquiring. Bob

Yes, we can substitute the twin intercoolers for our front mount assembly for an additional $350.00 over our normal ultra low price on the ProCharger kit. Thanks for inquiring! Bob

I'll have to price the items out and get back to you.

Max Recommended PSI: 30psi
Tested CFM: 1200 CFM
1cfm @ 1.5 psi drop

That is incredible... so you buy a $200 intercooler from eBay, MIG up about $100 worth of 3" mild steel piping, $100 in hoses/clamps, and then slap on a $500 premium. That IS a great deal!

Nice, next time I'm in McDonalds I'll bitch that a big mac cost them only 72 cents in materials and no way I'm paying 3.29 for one - what a ripoff. Bet I'll leave hungry..

While I agree that you could probably duplicate the parts on eBay for 450.00, dont forget silicone couplers, clamps, bypass flange and intercooler bracket plus bead rolling the end of the tubes. Most people dont have a chop saw, mig welder and the room to do it or the desire to do it themself. I HAVE all that stuff plus a TIG welder and I dont feel like trashing my garage for a day making the pipes.

Even at 450.00 profit the guy has to pay to advertise it here, pay to heat his shop, pay up front for the parts and hope they sell, pay to answer the phone and what not. Plus its a very limited market so he isnt going to be selling 1000 of them and retiring next year off it.

If you think you can do better, become a sponser, make your own, and start selling them at cost. Since that is obviously what everyone should do.
