Default Advice Please: Just had car tunned and was done locked had a few questions

Hey all:

I just had my 2002 Camaro A4 with a Yank 3,200 stall tunned on the same dyno as I did last time but with a new tunner. The last tunner tuned it unlocked, and the new tuner tunned it locked. It is a Dynojet.

I picked up 19 RWHP but Lost 23 RWHP torq. Also the outside temps where close to the same and same time of day. It was maybe 3 weeks apart.

Question:
How much does it effect the numbers having it locked compared to unlocked?

Thanks all

what do you mean he locked the tune??? you mean he locked the converter??? if so then the numbers will always be higher with a locked converter. higher efficiency and no slip.

well... at least the HP should be higher... the torque will probably go down a little which seems like thats exactly what yours did...

that just what ive heard though, im not an auto guru

torque goes down because its not getting multiplied like it would with the converter unlocked. hp goes up since its locked and there is no slip in the verter. very normal for this to happen.
