Default how much of a shot would you run?

prolly gonna pick up a LS2/LS6 CTS-V, the only mods that I'm gonna do is custom bent 3" pipes all the way back and just basics like a TB and CAI, but then I'm gonna add a shot... would you go wet or dry?

then I need to know how spray my engine can safely sneeze out without blowing?

prolly gonna purge it and strap a bottle warmer on with it

I'm used to a 4.6 2V so I have no idea about anything with this engine

I doubt you would need a bottle to give you a thrill. But 100 hp shot sounds safe.

I would normally say it would just depend on how fast the competition is.

a guy with an LS2 GTO told be to go with a well dyno tuned 150 wet shot and If I do all the other mods listed he said the engine should handle it with no problem, he also said to get the LS6 because the bottom end is forged better and just beef up the rear if you plan to go hard from digs alot. (which I hope I don't have to)
I was thinking maggie, but then I lose the luxury aspect and such, I like the spray because it's there when you need it

yeah your rod bolts are better i believe and the stock ls1/ls2 bottom ends are pretty strong.

The answer is zero.

Am not suggesting that you not spray, I am saying that if you spray there is potential for engine damage. 100 guys will tell you that a mild shot is safe & 100 more will post pics of engine damage after spraying w/ a mild shot because of some incident that shouldn't have happened.

Enjoy the car. If you want to spray, then spray. If the engine gets damaged, it can always be replaced.
