Default Door refinishing help

im repainting my door another color (well, a door to match MY car) first im curious the best way to go about it? theres chips in the paint is it best to put some filler int he chips then smooth it out/scruff up the paint and respray over it, or is it recommended to sand the paint completly off to primer and do the whole thing? or is there a better method than sanding?

second question is how do i get the squeegee off the door so i can clean/respray under it so you dont see the blue at the bottom when you look close.

best way to do it is to sand it down till you cant feel the chips anymore. make sure the sanding is not done in just those small areas but a good radius around it so you cant see or feel like a dip. it wouldnt hurt to spray primer on those areas. sand the whole door with like 800. get it nice and smooth then spray. for the squeegee they should just pull out. should be able to reuse them but if not they are cheap.
