Default 383 kit and H/C what will this spin up to?

I was told by someone that if you install a 383 stroker you will shorten your RPM range is this true? And if you install a H/C it will spin up more right? So if you do both together what will be your MAX rpms?
Also how much does a 383 ruduce rpms by its self? And how much does a H/C increase rpms by its self ?

the engine being a stroker does not "reduce" rpm's. the RPM it'll spin to is determined by the durability of the valvetrain and the weight of the rotating assembly.

Great! So with the right valve train and and cam I will be able to increase my rev range by 500rpms? to 1000rpms? And I guess it should be able to pull all the way there with the extra cubes?

With the right parts you could run a 383 to 7k+.

Yea it depends on alot of different things, and who you talk to. There are guys that only turn 6000 and then there are guys that turn 8000. It all depends on how the motor is built. If the cam cannot take advantage of the high rpm, you could be hurting your performance also.

I spin my 383 to 7k with no issues to speak of. Then again, I built it for that.
