Default Manual valve body or trans go stick type shift kit for my th400?

my th400 is not shifting right, hits the rev limiter 3-5 times b4 shifting. what is the best thing to do to control shifting?Manual valve body or trans go stick type shift kit for my th400?

or are they the same? I have checked the parts in the trans go kit and it does not include the manual valve body. do they work the same?

The TH400-3 will give you a full manual transmission (forward pattern) and it can be changed to full automatic in about 10-15 minutes if need be. This kit still uses the vacuum modulator (easier on the front pump), which will make part throttle shifts not so harsh, and has engine braking. I have installed many of these kits over the years and they work very well.

what about the manual valve body?how do you compare the two?
