Question a tech question for th400

I'm installing a manual valve body in my th400 next week, it will be a reverse pattern (P R N 1 2 3 ) my question is can i use it like a transbrake. reving the engine on N and as soon as the last yellow light comes up shift to 1st? is that going to harm the engine? in the stret catagory transbrake is illegal.

I would not rev it in neutral and drop it into gear. That is very abusive. Do they allow you to use a line lock?

If I'm not mistaken neutral dropping is not allowed on the dragstrip either. It's in a rule book somewhere. Plus it's going to destroy the trans.

It's about as bad as putting it in reverse to stop.
