Default Kenne Belle?

I'm fairly new to LS1s. I bought a 2002 Trans Am about 2 months ago and I'm loving it but obviously I want it to be a lot faster. I was looking at the Kenne Belle 2.6L supercharger kit and wanted to know a few things. First, what kind of internals come stock in an LS1? I've been looking all over the internet and I can't find any info on the internals. Second, what is the best way to lower the compression? Third, does anybody have this Kenne Belle kit and is it a good investment? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you can squeeze that under the cowl of your T/A, I'll be very impressed. I'd suggest looking in here (ala the search function) instead of the whole internet.

The KB wont fit under an f-body cowl. sorry.

You can get a maggie (magnusen) from Ed @LME which has spacers to lower your k-member for clearance...

Like the others said, search is your friend.

Could he not possibly get the spacers to lower the k-member and use the KB instead of the maggie. Not sure if the KB unit is taller than the maggie.

So could I just get a cowl hood? Would a WS6 hood work. It seems like there would be enough room under my hood. Has anybody tried it or are you guys just speculating that it won't fit? Thanks again.

Speculating?

Look how many posts I have and how long I've been here... Don't you think I might be more than just speculating? I thought I was helping you, but it seems my word doesn't count.

Do you know how to search? Because it's obvious you havn't done so even after all of us advised you of that.

By the way, It's not the hood that's gonna be in the way. Have you noticed that half of your intake manifold (where the KB would now sit) is under the cowl of the car? It's really is the cowl more than the hood giving clearance issues.

Welcome to LS1tech. The KB is just too big. I am sure that if you are willing to cut, fabricate and lower some things it could be possible. But you would be better off just bolting on a Procharger D1SC, get 600 rwhp and call it a day. Others have done the Eaton 112, but still had to modify things to work.

Thanks. You told me what I needed to know without being an ***. As for the guys who kept telling me to search , I did search and I couldn't find anybody who had tried it or knew for sure if it would fit or not. Just cause I'm knew you don't have to be a dick. But thanks again Urban Legend for being civil and welcoming me to the site.

Im not sure what the LS1 has for internals, but my LS2 has:

Cranshaft (1)
Pistons (8)
Rods (8)
Bolts (lots)
Oil (a bit)
Magical Fairy dust (tons)

we are not trying to be dicks but i think the reason firehawk got mad was because you did not listen to what he said....there is no one that has tried this cause it would prob cost close to 15k just to get the KB to work on an fbody. and no one is being a dick to you because you are "knew" we are just trying to point out that if you would have searched and read all of the prob 100 threads you would find with "Kenne Bell" in them you would have found out that no one has done it because its costly and basically not worth the money.

02 T/A, grow a sense of humor or stop posting, so far you have rubbed me the wrong way twice in this post. Search is your friend and welcome tech.

This post was further down the page from your post...https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-induction/598256-magnacharged-f-body-new-track-results.html

Some more....
https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-induction/582864-those-interested-magnuson-kits-f-body-step-inside.html

Spent a total of 5 minutes searching and came up with these 2 but I know there are more on here....Not trying to be a jerk...but Josh was just trying to be helpful by giving advice that was asked for.

LOL

FWIW, try calling Ed@LME and asking about whether the KB would work by using the adapters or not. And welcome to the site.
