New 02 camaro SS LS1 Just got my new ls1.
All stock 50k miles
Here is my questions.
I'd like to create more horsepower.
1. I see I can purchase a STSturbo with 8psi increasing the hp to 508.
Can this be done on just a stock engine? OR do I need other parts?
2. To increase the hp do I just add more psi?
Example 12psi will take it to 650hp??
Last but not least.
To increase my SS to 800hp how much would it costs (estimate)
And what would I need?
Also I want it to be a daily car.

i don't think it's safe to run an LS1 with more than 7-8 psi. granted, that's enough to get to ~500hp at the crank, but if you wanna run 12psi you're gonna have to strengthen the bottom end for sure. you'll need new rods, DEFINITELY new pistons and bearings wouldn't hurt either. not sure what else.
