Default MSD 8.5mm Wires Not Fitting Through Looms

I'm installing my MSD 8.5mm super conductor wires on my car and the wires don't seem to fit through the looms. I know its kinda of a big upgrade I geuss from a 7mm wire to an 8.5mm wire.

Any one else run into this problem? Can I run the wires without putting them through the looms somehow? Do I need to buy new looms? If so where can I get them?

Any help or advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

I just forced mine in and put the stock retainers back on. It's been fine for a good while.

I would not force them into stock looms, you are more likely to cut the insulation.

Get some aftermarket wire orginizers and zip tie them to existing brackets.

I could not use the stock looms. Then at the time they came with a set of orginizers as a promo deal when I bought my 8.5 wires

My friend either created or learned a great way to make nice tight and clean loom with zip ties. You tie one around them all, loose at first. Then you put one inbetween each going parrallel with them, tighten them up snug, then tighten the one going around. Once that's tight, re-tighten the parallel ones. 4 wires = 3 parallel, 3 wires = 2, etc. Keeps them seperated just like normal loom and you don't have to worry about breaking them

If you need a diagram I'll be happy to draw one up, just PM me
