Default It will

probably have an affect on your pocket book for removing components that were factory installed to help prevent polution.

none at all. i have a 99 z28. if you have emission testing you cannnot remove this componet as it is crutial to the cats. if you dont have it i would reccoment doing it. it cleans up the engine bay nicely. i have removed my air pump and my egr and it runs great. you will have to get it tuned out or deleted from your computer though

The only effect it will have is that you will not be able to pass CA smog without it. Why did you post this in the automatic transmission forum of all places?
