I JUST got one a couple weeks ago for the exact same thing here in Texas. I absolutely despise those red light enforcement cameras. It was like 1 in the morning and theres wasnt a car for a mile so as I approached the intersection I slowed down but didnt fully stop and turned right and saw huge flashes from the camera. You can go online and watch the video of yourself. I payed the ticket, was only $75.

running a red light could easily kill someone who is A. crossing the street. B. crossing the intersection. So I don't think its to much...its a lot more dangerous than speeding will ever be.

Not necessarily true, speeding for instance through a housing area where little kids are playing, could be just as dangerous as running a red light or drunk driving for that matter
