which flowmaster catback louder n more aggressive?
hey guys i was wonderin which series of flowmaster exhausts is louder n more aggressive? is it the 40 or 80 series?... i think the american thunder is the loudest of all flowmaster exhausts, right? n i think it is based on the 40 series!!! let me know wat u guys think...

really? why not? is there a huge gap between flowmaster n other exhausts concerin hp lose?... i've seen rankin of top 10 or 20 best exhausts for ls1s n flowmaster had a good rankin, one of the top 10.. i remember it was better than borla...

im pretty sure the 40 series is the loudest/ most aggressive. there are two different 40s, ones supposed to have less enterior resonance. it is true though, although they sound fantastic, chokemasters are not that great for making power. whats the solution? get a cut out and enjoy the best of both worlds.

Stay away from the 80-series; they flow like crap (search for a thread where someone picked up well over 15rwhp switching to a cutout). You're good to go on the 40s though.

Although, at one time, I had the 80 series flowmaster american thunder catback on my car along with the SLP y-pipe and it wasn't much louder than it was when it was stock. I noticed no difference in power at all. However i put this same catback on my uncle's LT1 Z28 (!cats) and it is loud! Almost as loud as my true dual setup suprisingly.
