Question Will NHRA and/or IHRA allow cars with broken windshields to race?

I wanna race, but my windshield has a big crack in it. Somebody told me I may not pass tech because of it. True?

Nope, because its only going to get worse. Then it could possibly harm you or someone else. A windshield isn't but around 200-225 installed on these cars, so I'd just replace it and then go.

Correct! NHRA will not allow a cracked windshield as it is a safety issue, much like a fluid leak. As stated, windshields are cheap now a days.

Even if they did I'd strongly advise you not do it (but they won't, I know a guy at US 131 that was not allowed to run because of it).

I've seen one come in on a guy, was not a good situation.

I haven't had to mess with mine in my F body, but my old 95 Grand Am's got cracked. It cost me 155 or 255 (can't remember exactly) to get it replaced. The guy even came and replaced it at my house. Took less than 45 minutes and he was done.
