Default Tranny that has been sitting for a year

I bought a ATI tranny that has only 2 passes on it. Sense it was used it has sat for 1 year about. all openings where caped off and it had fluid in it. Should i send it to ATI befor i use it to have it freshed? Also the guy i bought it from said it went 7.40s @ 175 for thoes 2 passes and no street miles.....ive delt with him befor and i dident have a problem. I just dont wana put it in the car and take it back out in a week or so...

Heres some specs he given me
Solid Manual Reverse no/band application, 6 drum , direct, steel w/36 element sprag
Torsional Input Shaft - Powerglide Spline
Valve Body, External Transbrake

I would pull the pan look at the fluild and check for any debris , If all looks good put it in
