Camshaft and Valve Train Specifications Hello All-
Former LS1 owner and current Mechanical Engineering Student. I am working on a design project for a class. I have to do a lifetime failure analysis on an automotive camshaft. In order to do this accurately I require actual physical dimensions. I was hoping that someone here could help me with the information.
*This is all for an LS1 engine*
Camshaft Length
Length between bearings
Camshaft diameter (shaft)
Diameter of cam lobe on low dwell (not lifting)
---
Lifter Length, Diameter and approximite weight.
Pushrod length (typical-street use cam) and weight.
---
