the ls1 rear brakes bolt right up to the '67 axle tubes, you just need to run your e-brake and lines, of course. 68-69 you have to run two, left side backing plates, as the staggered shocks get in the way.

for the front, to run c5 or ls1 brakes, you need the drum hub, with the rotor over it, and a caliper bracket to hold the caliper. that's it. theres a guy on pro-touring.com that sells the brackets, laser cut, for $50, last time I checked.

There is probably a thread about it on the www.pro-touring.com forum, but I am not really sure. Try searching LS1 Brakes on there. You should upgrade your wheels to 16`s. The 15`s will not clear, but a lot of the 4th gen guys grind the caliper for clearance so they can run 15`s at the strip, But be VERY careful if you grind the caliper I have seen people grind them too much and then the caliper breaks apart when they hit the brakes.

They are not grinding the rotors they are grinding on the callipers as G-Body said. And what they are doing is grinding down some of the cooling fins that wrap around the vette calliper in order to clear their wheel.

You will need to grind down (about 1/8") the front hubs, so the ls1 rotors fit over them. But thats no big deal at all.

Here are just a few links to give you a better understanding of what exactly goes on...These guys can explain it a whole lot better than i can.

Good info here,
http://www.geocities.com/torkerscamaro/torker.html

This is David Pozzi's site. Tons of info and templates for the front callipers.
http://www.pozziracing.com/12_corvet...es_on_fgen.htm

This is Jan Suhr's site. He's on this forum(LS1 tech) and he has a ton of info on the swap both front and rear, and a template for the callipers. A very cool car in Sweden!!!
http://www.protouring.se/

Ls1 calliper rebuild, in case you need it!
http://installuniversity.com/install...sity/index.htm

The super cheap way, junk yard hunting for the old stuff...but it works.

Hope this helps you, it helped me.

Here are the ones I have found. I believe two of them are for the ls1 brakes (different styles) and the other is for the C4 brakes.
Hope this helps!

BTW, did anybody understand the brakeline pics I posted

how do you make them work? space them out with washers? i calculated that you need 1/2" thick material or something along those lines.

They should be made from 1/4 plate. On a first gen., you will need to grind down the top boss on the spindle 1/8'' in order to keep the caliper straight(vertical). Or you could just purchase the ones that are already machined for you like Speed Tech or Touring Classics version.

Did ya' look at Jan Suhr's site??? www.protouring.se
When you get there go to "Downloads". He has a very professional pdf of how he made his c4 brakes work. Defiantly worth reading!!!

Thanks for the credits.

Just to point out that the brakes I used are LT1s, Corvette C4 and Camaro LT1 89-93.

For the LS1 front calipers there is no difference as I understand with the brackets. For the rearbrakes the LS1 are a better option with the small parking brake drums. The LT1 parking brake sucks.
