I have a TR224 cam and some head work and whatnot. its recommended that i run a 3200 i think. will i have any driveability problems if i run the stock one?

really the car is almost pointless with that cam. until you get a stall that will flash the cam into its power band you wont ever feel the power your car can have. id say with that cam with stock verter and that cam with 3200 or 3500 stall id say there is prob 5-7 tenths of a second off your 1/4 et.

not at all. get a stall anywhere from 3000-3500 with an str of about 2.2-2.5 and it will be nice and tight, feeling like a stocker

That is the torque ratio.

ex. a 2.2 str will multiply the torque 2.2 times. Higher the str the harder the launch.

Cam with a small stall can cause some idling issues. Like it will idle high in Park, but in gear, its going to drop way down, then a loser converter.

Besides that, you will have to wait for the power to come on. It feels kinda cool as the motor will basicly "turn on", but when you see the other car leaving you in the dust while your waiting for your power to come on all the time, it gets kinda old after awhile.
