Default Got 2 new Rides...

Well I trade my wifes Saturn Ion Redline in for the 02 Tahoe below. Got us some much needed room and a safer vehicle. It will get some 20's and possibly a whipple if I can talk here into it.

Now for the good stuff. After parting my 98 Z28 turbo build out, I have found another project. The 2000 Z28 below. It already has a 8.5:1 370, ported 317 heads, LS6 intake, a built 4L60E, and will be my shop car. (more on the shop part later. I am not a Sponsor yet.) I got a par of T04B turbos in the deal but may end up going with a T88 instead. I havent decided on that one yet. I have a 9 inch and a host of suspension components that will be goin on this car. I am planning to hit some decent number with this car on the stock PCM and HPTuners 3 bar and RTT.

Just wanted to let you guys know I am back in the Game.

Yep. I got it from PaulZ2820. He gave me a great deal on the car and components and even trailored it from NC to KY for me. I was great meeting his Mom and Dad. Super nice people. Now I have to get on the ball and get it tuned. It is still running a 346 H/C/I tune. I have the lap top out and am tweaking te HPTuners as we speak. Its been a long time since i did a full on tune. I am going to get it lined out N/A before i put the turbo on.

Better hurry up and post what you want to say before "smokinHawk" closes this thread too. He seems to be on a mission this weekend. 4 threads in 2 days. Having a bad week are we?

He can close it if he wants. It will be one of many as the build up moves foward. I just wanted to let everyone know I was back in the game with a new ride.

On a technical note, what do you guys think, use the T04B's and do a twin setup or go with a proven T88 setup? It will be after I do a test run with my mock up 6.0L manifold setup for the shop, but I would like you guys opinion.

welcome back... it seemd crazy after all that went into your previous ride but life has differnt plans i guess.

However, good to hear brotha! I think that would be a great start since you'll have a good before the FI with the lower cr motor already. Then you can have a well thoughout comparison when you do add the turbo(s)

good luck!!

Well I finally secured my finances to open my own shop back up so it all panned out in the end. I plan to take it slow and do things right this time around. I am not gonna blow my budget to crap with this car like I did last time. I have my vendors lined out. Now I have to get my website finished and become a sponsor here on Tech and then I am set. Just gonna take is slow this time. No rush.

when i got into saltwater aquariums as a hobbyist, my local shop owner told me the number one thing i should do is learn to be patient. At first, it was difficult having an empty tank, almost frustrating, ready to get my coral and fish but couldn't becuz the water hasn't finished going through its cycles.

I rush a bit, against his advice, and lose quite bit of fish. With time, i have learned that in this hobby, determination and patience go hand and hand like spark and fuel.

I guess what im trying to say is that i have seen to many shops go under recently becuz they want to get out there fast and make that quick buck. I would suggest, that your time, be safe and make sure you have enough capital to sustain for a year or so, not worry about profit yet. Until then, establish yourself and set your roots, so when you do get swamped, you have all the new "business bugs" almost ironed out.

laterZ!
