Default ported ls2 v.s box stock fast 90

which do u think would be best for a head and cam car. dont have the funds to port a fast 90 and pay the $$ for it so if i ported ls2 can do the job as good or better it will save some coin.

How are you going to port a LS2 intake its one piece? Port match the outlets maybe.

Stock FAST 90 will easily outperform a LS2. Infact most tests have shown the LS6 intake to outperform the LS2, although this is generally on a 346ci. But 0.3 litres displacement difference isn't really all that much.

A guy here in OZ has developed a tooling method that gets right to the back, eliminating all the internal ribs and right into the runners. Ported LS2 is open ball game compared to stock LS2. Infact, i see a lot of ppl. here in OZ taking their FAST off and replacing with ported LS2.

I know a guy with an LS2 GTO that has a ported LS2 intake on it. We have a dyno day on Dec. 7.

We will see how he does.

I would go with the FAST. You could aways port is later if you need to (probably not with a H/C 346)

what are the price differences? I know that Jeremy Formatto has ported quite a few and and should have some dyno results comparing the two.
