well guys, i decided to give up on the race car project. its gonna take a lot more money to get it done for next year, and i decided i just didnt want to put that money into something i really just wasnt gonna drive a lot. i shouldve listened to you guys with the race cars who said dont do it :bang: plus i just miss having something fun to drive on the street, so im going to be buying a corvette at some point over the winter and putting the 383 that was intended for the camaro, in it. but here is a list of stuff i wont be needing...

USED PARTS....
rolling chasis- i need to back it out of the garage to take pics, but i would like to get 1500 for it obo. its a 1999 body, just over 50k on the clock. there is no spoiler and no hood, unless the buyer wants a lightweight pin-on ss hood, which would be a little extra. there are comp engineering weld in sub-frame connectors on it. no interior in the car at all, except the headliner. right now it has the 9inch in it, so if someone wants the roller with that rear in there, then i would like to get 3k for it.

moser 9 inch rear end- if it doesnt go with the roller, then 1500+a stock 10 bolt.3 channel, locker, 4:11 gears, aluminum center section, 35 spline axles, around 8k miles on it.

weld draglites 15x8 rears and 15x3.5 fronts w/28inch M/T ET drags on the back, and M/T sportsmans up front. i bought the wheels used, but the tires are close to new, only about 10 passes on them. wheels are not perfect, but theyre definitly not bad either. they are probably a 7 out of 10. once again i need to roll the car out of the garage to take pics. this also includes wheel spacers for the front and the mcgard lug nuts necessary for these wheels- $650 for everything

dennys nitrous ready driveshaft- also around 8k miles on it- $325

I'll take the 90mm Elbow for the intake :) I'm sure thats good for the $$ that wasn't charged for building the motor :eyes:

Or we can work out the whole intake/TB setup too.I could use it on my little project

sounds good, we'll work something out. and dont worry i was gonna take care of you for the motor anyway when you wanted the engine bay done, i remember you mentioning wanting to do that a while ago. if that TB works on vette's, i was going to keep it and get a fast intake, if i need a different one, then its yours and we'll work it out.

marcel, im actually just sick of being part of the lowly f-body crowd, its time to step up, you know how it is:jest:

specialized, i will update the 1st post with some more info.

Speed kills......

Sorry to hear....

I've been saying this for a while..... The best times I had were back when I had my lil P600B on the Tomato and it ran high 11's all day long, drove it to the track on drag radials, lowered tire pressure, raced.....and more importantly DROVE HOME :drive:

Good luck on your next project.

I will let you know on the seats.... I'm gonna put 2 in just because alot of classes require you to have 2 seats in the car... plus it looks kinda ghetto with just one LOL

I will let you know this week, I know someone that has a 17 inch seat in a car, I just want to go make sure my ass will fit in it and not get stuck :jest:

Oh man. I was looking forward to seeing this car being built. Good luck with it Chris and I am sure the Vette will be a great choice, especially since the new motor will be going in it! Maybe Brent will follow up and do it up, that would be badass!

thanks marc, and yea i agree, all i want is an 11 second car again, maybe a 10 second car, lol, that i can drive when i want, and drive to and from the track with.

todd and mike, thanks. it will definitly be hard to see it get towed out of here when the time comes.

charley, no thanks, there isnt really any need for me to put a built 10 bolt in there and take less money. im just tryin to get as much cash as i can.

jon, i was thinkin about that, but when you got a brand new forged motor thats already paid for, sittin in your garage, thats tough to do.

marcel, seriously, what the fuck u always gotta bring up old shit for. you know dam well i paid you for that, everyone was in the garage and saw me hand you the money.

and at the risk of jinxing myself, im going to look at a car tomorrow, it might be too good of a deal to pass up. and lets just say i wouldnt have to change my screen name if i got it.

It would be cheaper to just put the Z back together with a smaller Cam in that motor.Should run 10's no problem.

Timing is everything. 6 months ago or 6 months from now i might have taken it in an instance. Too busy now do deal with it. Very disappointed because I know eventually I'll have Don build me something like this.
Griff, good luck with this and especially the Vette. I'll be interested in seeing it. Will it be a 10 sec car out of the box??

i dont know if it would be cheaper, cuz there is a lot i would need to put it back together, i sold basicly every stock part on the car, and a quite a few other parts i was planning on replacing with something better. its an option for sure, but ive wanted a vette for a long time now too, so thats just kind of the route i want to go now.

brent i definitly hear ya. its definitly somethin you need to have some spare time for. as far as the new car, well we'll see. im sure the motor will make the power, we'll see what number i can drive it to, lol.
