All LS1 years M6 are set to 800rpm idle.
All LS1 years A4 are set to 650 park/neutral, 550 in gear.
The stock tachs aren't perfect, so you may see different readings on the gage. A scanner is the only way to tell for sure if the car is idling at the proper RPM.

My M6 idles at 1100 WARM and about 1300 COLD. But when I had a smog test and the scanner was hooked up, the computer said about 800 rpm WARM idle.
So my factory tach is off about 300 RPMs.
